Apple annual developer conference to take place in June but iPhone 5 unlikely

Apple is having its annual Worldwide Developers Conference from 11th to 15th June in San Francisco. This five-day event will focus on iOS and OS X Mountain Lion software, with technical sessions and hands-on labs aimed at developers making apps for both platforms.

In past years Apple regularly unveiled new devices at their annual developer conference, such as the iPhone 3G in 2008, the iPhone 3GS in 2009, and the iPhone 4 in 2010. They, however, broke the continuity last year and launched the iPhone 4S the coming autumn. That raised speculations regarding the upcoming iPhone 5 which, however, will not be unveiled at WWDC 2012.
