New service platform for “Documents as a Service” launched

enprovia® Software Engineering s.r.o. (www.enprovia.com) launches new service-focused platform for the Swiss document management specialist Document Future AG.
The new platform targets Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SME’s), supporting Senior Managers, Knowledge Workers and Document Managers in their daily business working with electronic documents, email and papers in a consolidated fashion.
The system provides easy, pay-as-you-go services for both generic, document management tasks such as scanning, archiving, indexing and search/retrieval as well as specialised, “focused applications” supporting the specifics found in Human Resources, Marketing and Legal Compliance departments.
The complete Document Lifecycle Management is supported by the platform, providing intelligent tools for managing both electronic documents, email and paper, in conjunction with efficient, cost-targeted and business goal driven consulting. The “Consolidated Managed Services” offered are backed by a skilled back office and consulting team.
“Our Documents as a Service (DaaS) portfolio is based on the products from Elsag Solutions AG, solutions that are to be found in many global players critical core processes, with 70-80% being placed in the financial sector” says Phillip Sander, Delegate of the board of Document Future AG.
Main geographic target area for the services provided consists of Switzerland and Germany, with a mid-term growth strategy focusing on the European Union.
“The system was rolled out using an open source web based portal and content management system called Liferay, wrapping the various, web based services. Even though the decision was bold and had to be taken within a short period of time, we are very pleased with the final results. It took us only three months to launch the system, from first brainstorming to having a first release in production. The short time span is a direct result of using an open, more or less ready-to-go system backed by an experienced team building the missing parts” says Mr. Sander.
The Document Future platform is rolled out in phases, where new functionality is added as required. Integrated campaign management has recently been launched, and the engineering team is currently deploying stronger support for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to achieve improved ranking in search results.
