Among merchants’ modern-day needs are also various apps allowing them to move their products into customers’ smartphones and also to accept credit cards and other payments on the go. Using such apps merchants are able to move existing online stores (catalogues, portfolios, etc.) to mobile devices and to get listed in the Apple iTunes app store as well.

Such applications allow users to expand their customer base and reach out to new, potential customers with mobile commerce on iPhone®, Blackberry®, Google Android, Windows mobile and other smartphones or tablets.

Mobile commerce is a revolutionary way of approaching customers and follow the latest trends in doing business.

mGallery offers its users a variety of features, such as „Search“ that allows to search among Nikonians registered users/photographers and their images. After finding the photographer you were looking for you can „Bookmark“ his/her portfolios and have their portfolios available anytime without searching. The search goes hand in hand with „Saving“ images you liked directly to your mobile device. Like this you can have the pictures you like gathered in your mobile device and access them anytime. Once you have the pics stored in your Smartphone, you might want to „Send“ them via email. mGallery enables you to send your images directly as an e-mail attachment. Like this you can also let other photographers know of any good locations for photo shooting.

mGallery also offers a random mosaic display of images that breaks the routine of a regular photo gallery and displays different pictures when your Smartphone is shaken. For more comfortable pics browsing you can use various views – vertical or horizontal.

mGallery is a free application and can be used by any iPhone user. If you want to store your own images, you need be a registered Nikonians member.

The latest smartphone in Sony Xperia line compared to other members within Xperia family packs a new technology into its touchscreen called “floating touch.” This allows users to hover their finger over the display to move what is similar to an invisible mouse cursor and then merely tap the screen once the desired link is highlighted.

Sola is the first smartphone to use this new tech, however Sony claims to bring this feature also to other models in the future. The device comes with a 3.7-inch screen and a Reality Display powered by Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine with 854 x 480px resolution.

It is powered by a dual-core, 1GHz processor and it includes support for NFC, DLNA, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. There is a 5 megapixel rear camera with 720p HD video recording. Its dimensions are 116mm x 59mm x 9.9mm and it weighs 107g and the battery should provide about 5 hours of talk time or just under 20 days of standby.

Xperia Sola runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and should be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in summer.

Sony plans to offer the Xperia sola in black, red, and white color options, and will launch it globally in Q2 of this year.

It takes just a few clicks and the mDMS app user can search all the corporate data stored in the document management system or enterprise content management, or he can even add text, voice notes and images directly to the corporate data system using a smart device.

This is all possible thanks to ready-made connectors and existing integration expertise and it takes just a few days to integrate and mobile-enable an existing document management or enterprise content management in your company.

The Mobile Enabler middleware together with client connection kits extends business applications and services, mobile enabling business processes and products without the need to modify existing systems. It is an architecture supporting solutions like enprovia eForms or mDMS.
